The topic I have chosen for my presentation is based on Chapter 6 of the textbook. The topic is “Selecting Employees Who Fit”. Employee selection is the process through which an organization chooses which individuals to hire and form part of the company. It is essential to have efficient and effective employee hiring criteria because the staff that is hired can make or break and organization. Choosing the right people can allow the company to prevent the time, effort, resources and money that would otherwise go to waste if the wrong person is hired and they must be laid off to hire a replacement. It can also help ensure that the new hire has the right education, knowledge, expertise and credentials for the job title and job description.
